Below I have CFO/COO Bob Edward's ultimatum sent December 22, 2011. Heading into the slow season, it is an excellent time to bring this to light. Should SelectQuote decide to make an issue of this now, it gives the agents on commission plenty of time to wonder how much the actions of salaried employees are costing them.
It offends me that there are those in SelectQuote who have rallied behind Michelle Tan and others involved.. She threatened to kill a two year old girl and there was break-in by an armed intruder not long after this threat. Immediately after the threats came the destruction of some evidence and creation of false evidence by the San Francisco police.
The court case based on said evidence was dismissed in favor to my wife and myself. This incident is of renewed interest, however, after SelectQuote's claimed knowledge of privileged police information in a brief to the National Arbitration Forum. If they really are that tight with the police, then the timing of this incident immediately after threats at work may not be coincidental. Correlation doesn't prove causality, but it does point to a need for further inquiry.
With Kansas giving the company $5 million in tax incentives, this story affects a wider audience.
Invest in life insurance elsewhere. Avoid threats or harm towards children. SelectQuote Insurance possibly connected to police misconduct in San Francisco. An insider's editorial view of this disturbing scandal.
Drug Prohibition

Luckily, our nation has already experimented with Prohibition of the popular drug, alcohol. So the effects of our current Prohibition are expected. Yet we continue on this course. Perhaps it's because drug use can destroy lives. What I hope to get across is that all we've done is add problems, without mitigating the original problem in any meaningful way.
Drug prohibition is a cause of organized crime. Participants in a black market do not have recourse to the courts to settle disputes, another means of dispute resolution necessarily will arise. Given the illegal nature of the market, and the large profit margins on illicit goods, it will be organized crime groups that step in to provide this service. Once the black market is made legal, the associated gang violence ends. When Miller sells beer in St. Louis, Anheuser-Busch does not retaliate with drive by shootings in Milwaukee.
Drug Prohibition causes police corruption. As seen with the CNET and Butler PI scandal. Or the Rough Riders. Or the Chicago Police during Alcohol Prohibition.
Early on, I would think a vice task force would be well nigh incorruptible. Who wouldn't be proud to take down pushers that sold to kids, and the obvious thugs and hoodlums that come along with the drug trade? After success sets in, after the low hanging fruit is busted, I imagine this is when temptation would start to rear its head.

Min 'Michelle' Tan is Not the Berkeley Student

The Michelle Tan who threatened my daughter, and got her husband, Jong Lee, consulting work in the aftermath is not the first one that shows up in Google's results (at the time of writing), or the most well known. So I'd like to make it clear I'm warning you about a programmer in her late thirties at SelectQuote Insurance Services. She lives in Pleasanton, CA.
It came to my attention that there is a student at UC Berkeley by the same name, I'd hate to cause confusion with an innocent woman.
